The Steamers grabbed the President’s Trophy and the number one seed in the playoffs following a 7-0-2 run to end the season. And JT still leads the team in penalty minutes. Playoffs start Monday night. Get your tickets early.

Stats have finally been posted for our undefeated progress so far this season. However, I lost sheets for two games (Game 2 vs Ice Holes and Game 4 vs Hudson Fire) so if you know any stats about those games, let me know.

And did it with a .500 record by beating the Iceholes 3-1. Who knew we could get hot in the playoffs? Stats have been updated for the entire season. Neither of the girls are happy with Russ for breaking the trophy ten minutes after getting our hands on it, but I guess we’ll take what we can get…

We’re back in the playoffs starting next week. We finished up the regular season strong last night with our second win in a row. Hopefully we can carry some of that momentum into the playoffs. The Steamers started the Summer 2009 season last night by skating to a comeback tie against the Sled Dogs (who used to be the Rampage, but evidently decided to rename themselves.) Stats are up, so check them out.

The Steamers pulled off another close win last night against the Golden Seals, beating them 3-2. Once again we played fairly well for such a short bench. That puts us on a 5 game unbeaten streak and a few games above .500. Much better than earlier this season.
