Too bad for the team, I’m back from vacation, and in net again. And back to losing. Sounds like the guys played better while I was gone. At least they may offer to ship me back to Australia, and I probably wouldn’t turn it down. Stats are updated.

I put in some code to give stats on game winning goals, so go check out the stats page for more mindless time wasting. In celebration of this, I give you Ashley and her stick…

The Steamers started the Summer 2009 season last night by skating to a comeback tie against the Sled Dogs (who used to be the Rampage, but evidently decided to rename themselves.) Stats are up, so check them out.

The Steamers pulled off another close win last night against the Golden Seals, beating them 3-2. Once again we played fairly well for such a short bench. That puts us on a 5 game unbeaten streak and a few games above .500. Much better than earlier this season.
In other news, I finished a bunch of code for some statistics, so take a look at some of the individual stats posted now. More to come.

Our next game is tonight at 10:10pm, so all zero of you fans out there itching for some late night hockey be sure to stop by and get your tickets early, as they have a tendency to sell out quickly.
We now have a leaderboard on the site which I will be adding more stats to as we go along.

We managed to pull off our second win of the season last night. The offense decided to show up and we actually scored only one less goal than we have during all the previous games combined. That pulls us back to a .500 record.
I also managed to get a few more pieces of the website working, so now our schedule page shows the results for the season, and there is a team stats page that currently only shows our record, but will eventually get a little more involved.
