Steamers Hockey

We’re back in the playoffs starting next week. We finished up the regular season strong last night with our second win in a row. Hopefully we can carry some of that momentum into the playoffs. And just for some motivation, if we win next week, these girls show up the second night. Stats are updated through the end of the regular season.

Our last few game have been tight ones, and we seem to be fans of tying teams this year.

So in keeping with all things “tight and close”, and to encourage us to finish it off in the third period, I give you this Teemu Selanne fan. I hear she will be hanging out at the next game. I wish I could take credit for being the photographer, but I can’t, so give shooterman1 the photographer of the week award.

In other news, more schedule has been posted, and the league is still screwing us unfairly with Sunday games, and lying about it. I don’t see anybody else who has half their games on Sunday. Jim – you are a lying douche.

Just to get you ready for the upcoming Steamers winter season, I found some more pictures of hot ladies in hockey jerseys. Kentucky really does know what they’re doing. In other news, the first part of the schedule has been posted on the schedule page.

The Steamers pulled off a 6-2 win against the Bay State Beavers. In honor of beating up on Beavers, I give you Stacey. Stacey (pictured here) is happy the Steamers finally won a game in front of their old fat goalie. It’s about time.

This is really pretty entertaining. I’m not sure why I don’t take it upon myself to do things like this more often.

Sticks, they are sick. I cannot save breakaway. Point shot I save it very much. Breakaway, sticks are afraid. I ask Jobu to come, take fear from sticks. I offer him cigar, rum. He will come.

We need to get Bulgaria in here to have an exhibition match against the Steamers. Might make us feel better about ourselves. Or maybe worse – they probably would beat us.

The University of Kentucky really has the right idea on this one. I know more about UK hockey than I know about any other hockey program in the country. Marketing genius. Why can’t the NHL pick up something like this?

Any ideas for how to get really hot girls into some Steamers jerseys? For once, people might not complain that they’re too small.
